Australian Chinese Triathlon Incorporated (ACT) was newly founded in 2017 by a group of triathlon enthusiasts, who are Ironman or keen to become Ironman. This is the very first and only club in Australia for Australian Chinese ever. ACT is a not-for-profit organisation, registered under the Associations Incorporation ACT 2009. As a triathlon club, ACT was affiliated to Triathlon Australian, NSW.

In last decade, people’s interest about multi sports especially triathlon has been growing so much that triathlon has become one of the fastest growing sports due to a couple of organizations efforts. Australia has a very good base of triathlon lovers and keeps good record in all kinds of triathlon races. Australia has more than 5.6% of population with Chinese ancestry and they are contributing to build this multi-cultural country. Since Triathlon is a fairly new sport, there are a lot of people having no idea what it is. ACT is trying to bring more awareness to Chinese community and to encourage more Australian Chinese to join this brilliant sport.

ACT members believe “anything is possible” and are creating history for Chinese community in Australia. Currently ACT has about 50 registered members and this number is growing steadily. Members are mainly from NSW, but also some members are from VIC. Since established ACT club members actively attended a few races and events, such as MS Gong Ride (cycling from Sydney to Wollongong), Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific World Championship Western Sydney. In the future, ACT is targeting more and more members to join and train together to get title of Ironman.

ACT is currently running with membership fees and donations from individuals and other organisations only. All kinds of support is welcome and appreciated.
